Clean room!!

My bed and dresser
Desk
Closet, take notice of blue line
I'm well aware that my "Moving out" blog was quite a while ago, but my room is finally organized and cleaned since moving home from college! Not only did I clean my room, I also had to organize all my high school, swim, art, college and miscellaneous things into boxes to put in the attic, as well and going through my stuff and getting rid of a lot of it, so I will attribute the extended time spent on cleaning my room toward that. The blue line that is pictured in the bottom picture is there for a very important reason: to divide the room in half to keep me and my sister civil. That's right, I have the pleasure of sharing my room. So far, it has actually worked really well, we don't fight as much as we used to and sharing our room isn't so bad now, for this reason I am thankful for the blue division. :) I love just sitting in my clean room with the windows open and the fresh smell of summer in the air!

Star Fruit

"It looks like I have a beak"

So cute!

My Mom and I went grocery shopping together today at Westborn Market and were attracted to and interested in trying exotic star fruit! Not actually, I had to convince to her buy it because I was so curious as to what it tasted like. When we got home we researched how to prepare a star fruit and then had our first taste! I thought it was decent enough to finish eating, but my Mom decided that she would just rather stick to normal fruit.

Handmade headbands

I stumbled upon a website that taught me how to make these adorable headbands out of scraps of material and old elastic hair ties. After learning how to make the first one I was pumping more out like nothing! It is so simple and a super cute way to add to any outfit. It makes me feel so proud to be able to wear something that I made, I can't wait to make more.

Swinging!

Having a lot of young cousins on my Mom's side of the family, when we get together at my Grandma's house we often go to a nearby park. My Mom came with us on Easter Sunday and had a little taste of childhood. My cousins laughed and laughed as they watched my Mom jump off the swing, "banana split", and do whatever she is doing in these pictures. My Mom is so fun!

Heading Home

Packing my dorm room!
I am all packed up and ready to return home. Jake is coming to pick me up tonight and do some heavy lifting to bring most of my belongings home. I love packing, although I'm not too thrilled to unpack everything, but either way I'm anxious to leave this cube of a dorm room!

Choco Taco

Anticipating my very first Choco Taco
Since my childhood, everyone has raved about the ice cream and taco combo: Choco Taco. Considering that I had not been able to eat one until now because they were always sold out in ice cream trucks and gas stations, I figured it must be something monumental. Maybe it was the years of being built up to be the greatest ice cream sensation or maybe that I was raised on Drum Sticks, but I couldn't help but be disappointed with the Choco Taco.

Campus Martius

Tyler, Scott, EB and me!
I was finally able to convince the owner of these pictures to make them public so that I could blog about them (rather late). Ice skating downtown was really fun, even though the skates that I rented were sopping wet with disinfectant! Before I started skating I thought that I would be decent at it, I've watched my brother's hockey games for years and he makes it look easy. As soon as I set foot on the ice, I reality hit and I realized I had to idea how to skate. After some guidance from my friends I was able to skate around like I knew what I was doing. Yay! 'Go Ice Skating' is the first thing I get to blog about that I crossed off my list!
